Hopefully you all will  like the article and will be benefited by the article.

20 CCNA 2020 INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

So let's start

1) What is the difference between ‘bit rate’ and ‘baud rate’?

Ans: A bit rate is defined as the total number of bits transmitted in one second whereas baud rate defines the number of signal unit per second that is required to represent those bits.
Baud rate=bit rate / N,
where N = no. of bits represented by each signal shift.

2)Why do you use ‘Service Password Encryption’?

Ans: Service Password Encryption is used to encrypt plaintext password into type 7 password. Security is less and hence it can be easily decrypted.

3)What is MTU and what is its size for transmission?

Ans: MTU stands for Maximum Transmission Unit and its size is 1500 bytes.

4)What is OSPF? Describe it.

Ans: OSPF stands for Open Shortest Path First. It uses Dijkstra algorithm and is a link state routing protocol which is used to connect to a large number of networks without having any limitation on the number of hops.

5)What is the IEEE standard for wireless networking?

Ans: IEEE 802.11

6)What is meant ARP and RARP?

Ans: ARP is Address Resolution Protocol which is used to map an IP address to a physical machine.
RARP is Reverse Address Resolution Protocol which is used to map MAC address to the IP address.

7)Why is VLAN used?

Ans: It is a Virtual LAN network which is used to make a separate domain in a single switch.

8)What is Private IP and Public IP?

Ans: Private IP
It is used within the local LAN.
Public IP
It is used across the Internet.

9)What are the different class and ranges of IP address?

Ans: There are 5 different classes of IP address:
Class  RangeA1-126B127-191C192-223D224-239E240-254

10)What is PING used for?

Ans: PING is packet Internet groper. It is used to test the reachability of a host on an Internet protocol (IP) network. When any data is sent via the network through the IP addresses, then it will PING the receiver to receive the data from the sender.

11)Define IP Address?

Ans: Internet Protocol (IP Address) is a 32-bits to 128-bits identifier for a device on TCP/IP protocol. IP address of a device must be uniquely defined for communication.
It has 2 principal functions which include host and location address. And it has two versions which are IPv4 (32-bits) and IPv6 (128-bits).

12)What is meant ARP and RARP?

Ans: ARP is Address Resolution Protocol which is used to map an IP address to a physical machine.
RARP is Reverse Address Resolution Protocol which is used to map MAC address to the IP address.

13)Explain what is Denial of Service (DoS)?

Ans:
Denial of Service (DoS) is a kind of attack that prevents a legitimate user from accessing data over a network by a hacker or an attacker. The attacker floods the server with unnecessary requests in order to overload the server thereby preventing the legitimate users from accessing its services.

14)What is RIP?

Ans:
RIP (Routing Information Protocol) is a dynamic routing protocol. It makes use of hop count as its primary metric to find the best path between the source and the destination. It works in the application layer and has an AD (Administrative Distance) value of 120.

15) Differentiate between a router, a hub, and a switch.

Ans:
Hub - Hub is a layer 1 device .
It is a dumb device .
Hub don't have understanding of data , its just an electric device with no intellegence.
As soon as Hub receives a signal on a port it will just boost the signal , resotre the signal level and forward it to all other ports.
Basically Hub extends the network.

Switch -Switch is a layer 2 device.
It is a intellegent device.
Whenever switch receives a frame on a port it will open the Layer 2 information check the L2 destination address i.e mac address ,
refers the MAC Table and make forwarding decision on relevant port only and not to all other ports.

Router - Router is a layer 3 device.
It is a intellegent device.
Whenever router receives a packet on a port it will open the Layer 3 information check the L3 destination address i.e IP address ,
refers the Routing Table and make forwarding decision on relevant port only and not to all other ports.

16) What is Autonomous System ?

Ans :
An Autonomous System (AS) is a group of networks under a single administrative control which could be an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a large Enterprise Organization.

17) What is a Stub Network or Router ?

Ans :
A network/router with single exit point.
On stub router there is no need of configuring individual routes instead we configure only a default route.

18) What is BGP?

Ans :
Broder Gateway Protocol is an Exterior Gateway Routing Protocol which runs between two or more Automous system.
BGP is also known as Routing Protocol of Internet.

19) What is Administrative Distance ?

Ans :
Administrative Distance (AD) value defines the trustworthiness of the routes learned via. an routing protocol .
Each routing protocol have a predefined AD value.
AD Value of 0 is most trusted.
AD Value of 255 is least trusted.

20) What is Network Topology?

Ans :
Network Topology is the arrangement of a network which comprises of nodes and connecting lines via sender and receiver.
Various types of Network Topology :-
a) Mesh
b) Ring
c) Bus
d) Star
e) Hybrid

Best of luck
